Lemke Facial Surgery - Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty of the lower eyelids primarily is concerned with smoothing of the tissues. The procedure can be performed by making an incision hidden on the underside of the eyelid or immediately beneath the eyelashes. Puffy fat may be reduced. The skin is then redraped, or it may be resurfaced with a laser.

The lower eyelid must be properly positioned on the eye. In some situations, it is necessary to reposition or to reinforce the eyelid margin (rim, edge) position.
