Dermal Fillers


New skin (dermal) fillers have been available in the United States since early 2004.  These products have had good patient results, and satisfaction in Canada and Europe for years, and have just been approved by the U.S. Federal Drug Administration.  We currently are recommending Radiance (hydroxyapitite in glycerine and polymethycellulose) and Restylane (hyaluronic acid).
 
These products are made sterilely in the laboratory and do not contain any animal products.  Allergic reactions to the older collagen products are avoided; thus skin testing in no longer needed.  These products last longer than the collagen:  Restylane lasts 6-9 months and Radiance lasts 1-2 years.

Example 5:
This 50 year old lady desired a natural rejuvenation of the face. Eyelid lifts (blepharoplasty), eyebrow re-contouring with fat injection, and face & neck lifts were performed. She is delighted with her freshened natural look and enjoys new confidence.
