Lifting the brow smoothes the tired, angry or sad appearance that can develop over time and allows you to look as good as you feel. Deep lines in the forehead are diminished and a smooth appearance is achieved. Often this procedure enhances upper eyelid blepharoplasty when the two procedures are used in tandem.

Favored techniques are used to achieve the effect. Eyebrow or forehead lifting through small incisions in the scalp hair (Small Incision Technique) may be employed. However in some situations, a longer incision along the hairline (Pretrichial Incision Technique) or a shorter incision in the temporal hairline may be recommended. Longer incision techniques may also be used for those individuals with more exaggerated forehead drooping, higher hairlines and thicker forehead tissues.
